Common jobs, and which tool to use

How the image tools keep your files private

When you choose a file, your browser reads it from your device. The editing happens on a canvas inside the page, and the result is handed straight back to you as a download.

Your files are never sent to SBGeeks. (The SEO audit is different: it fetches the public pages of the website you enter, from our server.) Like the rest of the site, these pages use Google Analytics to count visits, and we keep our own count of which tools are used and how often (for example, opened, completed, downloaded); file names and file contents are never included. See the privacy policy.

Saving a new copy also strips hidden EXIF data, such as GPS location, from photos.

Why a marketing agency makes image tools

Images are usually the heaviest part of a web page. A photo straight from a phone can be several megabytes; the same image resized to the width it is shown at and saved as WebP is often a small fraction of that, with no visible difference.

That matters for search. Google measures how quickly the main content of a page appears (Largest Contentful Paint), and on many pages that content is an image. Clear, correctly sized photos also make a Google Business Profile more useful to customers.

We built these tools for the jobs we see every day. For everything else that slows a site down, see our technical SEO and web development services, or learn about SBGeeks.

Questions

Are these tools free?
Yes. The image tools have no charge, no account, no limit on the number of files and add no watermark. The website SEO audit is free for up to 100 pages per audit.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Every tool processes your files inside your own browser using standard web features such as the Canvas and File APIs, so your images stay on your device. The one difference is the image to text (OCR) tool, which downloads its free OCR engine and language data from a public CDN the first time you use it; your images are still processed locally.
Which image formats are supported?
All tools open JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP, and SVG and AVIF where your browser supports them. They can save JPG, PNG and WebP; some also write BMP, ICO, PDF and ZIP files. HEIC photos open only in browsers that support them, such as Safari.
Do the tools work on phones?
Yes. They work in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on phones, tablets and computers. Very large images are limited by how much memory a phone can give a web page.
Why do images matter for websites and SEO?
Images are often the heaviest part of a page. Correctly sized, compressed images load faster, which improves visitors’ experience and Core Web Vitals such as Largest Contentful Paint. See our technical SEO service if your site is slow.
