Web apps built around how your business works

When a spreadsheet or an off-the-shelf tool stops fitting, a web app is usually the answer — a dashboard, portal or internal tool that runs in the browser, works on any device, and does exactly what you need. We design, build and maintain it, and you own it.

A web app is an application that runs in the browser rather than being installed, accessible from any device and always up to date. Web app development is building one tailored to a business — dashboards, portals, internal tools or full products. SBGeeks designs, builds, launches and maintains custom web apps for US businesses, hosted on standard or cloud hosting and owned by the client.

A web app lives in the browser: nothing to install, always the latest version, reachable from a laptop in the office or a phone on a job. That makes it the natural home for the tools a business actually runs on — the dashboard that pulls everything into one screen, the portal where customers do things themselves, the internal tool that replaces a fragile master spreadsheet.

Unlike a generic SaaS subscription, a custom web app does exactly what your workflow needs and nothing it does not, connects to the systems you already use, and does not charge you more every time you add a user. It is built once, around your business, and it is yours.

We handle the whole lifecycle — discovery, design, build, launch and ongoing maintenance — shipping in short visible cycles so you see it take shape. It can also install on phones as an app (a PWA) without any app store, and the code and data are yours with no lock-in.

Sound familiar?

The costly, manual problems we remove.

  • A critical spreadsheet has become too big, too fragile, and a single point of failure.
  • Your team and customers are on different devices and need the same live data.
  • Off-the-shelf SaaS does most of what you need but never the part that matters.
  • Information is scattered across tools and you have no single screen that shows the truth.
  • You have a product or portal idea but no team to build it.

One screen showing live numbers pulled from every tool the business uses.

Client portals

Where customers self-serve — bookings, documents, invoices, status — without emailing you.

Internal tools

Quoting, scheduling, inventory or reporting tools built around your exact process.

Booking & scheduling

Custom booking systems that fit real services, staff and rules.

Data & reporting apps

Turning raw data from several systems into clear, shareable reporting.

Product MVPs

A working first version of a SaaS or marketplace idea, ready to launch and learn from.

Pricing

Transparent, project-based. No lock-in, you own what we build.

Every web app is scoped and quoted per project — a focused internal tool is a very different job from a full product. We start with the smallest version that solves the real problem, ship it, and extend from there, so you see value early and control the spend. You own the code and the data. <strong>Book a free strategy call</strong> for a custom quote.

Frequently asked questions

Web app vs a regular website — what's the difference?
A website presents information; a web app lets people do things — log in, enter data, run processes, see live dashboards. If you need interaction and logic rather than pages, you need a web app.
Web app vs mobile app — which do I need?
A web app runs in any browser and can install on phones as a PWA, covering most needs without app-store friction. A native mobile app is worth it when you need deep device features or app-store presence. We will advise honestly, and often a PWA is the faster, cheaper fit.
How much does a web app cost?
It depends on scope. A focused internal tool or MVP is far cheaper than a full product. We scope a realistic first version, quote it, and can phase the build. Book a call for a custom quote.
How long does it take?
A small tool or MVP can take a few weeks; larger apps longer. We build in short visible cycles and show the plan and timeline first.
Will it run on our existing hosting?
Usually yes — we build to run on standard shared/cPanel or cloud hosting and advise what suits your case.
Do we own the code?
Yes — you own the code and the data with no lock-in, and we can hand everything over.
