How it works
Images are processed one at a time, which keeps memory use low even for hundreds of files. Each is decoded, resized to fit within your maximum width and height if it is larger (images are never enlarged), and saved in the chosen format.
The ZIP file is built in your browser. Files inside it are stored without extra compression, because images are already compressed and zipping them again would only make the process slower. If two files would end up with the same name, a number is added so nothing is overwritten.
Useful for
- Preparing an online shop’s product photos in one format and size
- Converting a folder of PNG screenshots to WebP
- Renaming camera files to descriptive, numbered names
- Shrinking event photos before sharing them
Limitations
- Very large batches depend on your device’s memory and speed; a phone handles fewer at once than a laptop.
- Animated images become single frames.
- File names are made safe for every operating system, so some characters are replaced with hyphens.
