Rotate and Flip an Image
Turn sideways photos the right way up, straighten a slightly tilted horizon, or mirror an image. Rotations of 90° are lossless in size; angled rotations can expand the canvas or crop to fill it.

How it works
The image is redrawn on a canvas with the rotation and mirroring applied at full resolution. For angled rotations, “Crop to fill” calculates the largest rectangle with the original proportions that fits inside the rotated image, so the result has no empty corners.
Phone photos that look sideways in some apps usually have an EXIF orientation flag. This tool reads the photo upright, as your phone shows it, and the downloaded file is saved upright without the flag, so it displays the same way everywhere.
Useful for
- Fixing photos that upload sideways
- Straightening a tilted horizon or shelf
- Mirroring a selfie so the text reads the right way
- Creating mirrored design assets
Limitations
- Angled rotation resamples the image, which softens it very slightly; quarter turns do not.
- Crop to fill removes some of the edges. The steeper the angle, the more is removed.
