What is content marketing?

Content marketing is the practice of publishing useful material, such as service pages, guides and articles, that attracts the people a business wants as customers and helps them decide. Done for search, it means choosing topics people look for and covering them better than what already ranks.

Most business blogs fail for the same reason: the topics were chosen because someone had something to say, not because anyone was searching. Publishing more does not fix that. A smaller number of pages, each aimed at a real question and written with first-hand knowledge, does more than a weekly post nobody looks for.

Our content work is driven by the keyword and intent research in our SEO services, and written so that it is also easy for AI systems to quote, which is the basis of AI search optimization.

Signs you need it

The blog gets no traffic

Posts are published regularly and Search Console shows almost no impressions for any of them.

Service pages are thin

The pages meant to win customers are a paragraph and a contact button, with nothing to rank or persuade.

Old content is decaying

Articles that once brought visitors have slipped as they went out of date and competitors published better versions.

Pages compete with each other

Several pages target the same topic, so none of them ranks well.

What the service covers

Content strategy

A plan of topic clusters, each with a pillar page and supporting articles, mapped to search demand and to stages of a buying decision.

Content audit

Every existing page is assessed and marked to keep, improve, merge or remove, based on traffic, rankings and quality.

SEO content writing

Briefs set out the search intent, structure, questions to answer and internal links. Writers work from the brief; an editor checks accuracy and voice.

Website and service page copy

Service, location and about pages written to explain clearly what you do, for whom and why you are credible.

Blog and guide writing

Articles and long-form guides that answer the questions customers ask before they buy, with your expertise built in.

Content refreshes

Decaying pages are updated, expanded and re-linked. This is often the fastest gain available.

How we work

  1. Research

We audit what exists, research what customers search for, and study the pages currently ranking.

  2. Plan

You receive a content plan with priorities, and a brief for each piece before it is written.

  3. Write and edit

Drafts are written, fact-checked and edited. We interview you or your team where the subject needs first-hand knowledge.

  4. Publish and review

Content is published with on-page SEO and internal links in place, then reviewed against performance after three months.

What you receive

  • A content audit of the existing site
  • A topic cluster plan with priorities
  • A brief for every piece
  • Edited, publish-ready content with metadata
  • A quarterly performance review

Who it suits

  • Businesses whose service pages say too little
  • Sites with a blog that has never earned traffic
  • Experts with knowledge but no time to write
  • Companies building authority in a specialist field

What it costs

Content is priced per piece or as a monthly programme, depending on volume and how much research and interviewing each piece needs. Request a proposal on the contact page.

Questions we are asked

Do you use AI to write content?
AI tools help with research, outlines and first drafts. Every piece is then written up, fact-checked and edited by a person, and built on information from your business. Unedited AI text is generic, and generic content does not rank or persuade.
How much content do we need?
Less than most people assume. Start with strong pages for each service you sell, then add supporting articles for the questions customers ask. Quality and relevance count for more than frequency.
How long should a page be?
As long as it takes to answer the search properly. Some questions need 300 words, some need 2,000. Length is not a ranking factor; completeness is.
How long until content brings in traffic?
New pages typically take two to six months to reach their potential. Refreshing existing pages that already have some authority tends to pay back sooner.
Can you write for a technical or regulated industry?
Yes, with your input. We interview your specialists and have them review drafts, so the content is accurate and the expertise is genuinely yours.
